AWE | Ambassadors of Welcome Privacy Policy

The foregoing Privacy Policy is subject to the AWE Guidelines (the “Guidelines”) provided below, with which AWE and all AWE users will comply. For purposes of this Exhibit A, “AWE” means the Ambassadors of Welcome online community organized and hosted by WelcomeNST, Inc., and “I” means you, a user of AWE. To the extent that there is any conflict between the Privacy Policy and the Guidelines, the Guidelines will control.

AWE Guidelines

OBTAIN & RESPECT CONSENT: Protecting the privacy and safety of refugee and immigrant families is of the utmost importance. Before posting anything about a family or individual family member, you must have their explicit consent and carefully consider how the content of your post may impact their security and dignity.

• Obtain Clear Consent: I will get clear and informed permission before sharing any personal information about a family or individual family member, including their full names, photos, videos, or other likenesses or any contact information or other information that can be used to identify them.

• Respect Cultural Sensitivities: I will be mindful that some families or individual family members may feel pressured to agree to be featured in photos or stories, and I will respect and prioritize their comfort.

PRIORITIZE PRIVACY AND SAFETY:

• Protect Privacy: I will not share names, faces, locations, arrival dates, contact information, or other details that could identify a family or individual family member without their clear and informed permission. This includes photos, videos, and personal stories.

• Safeguard Children’s Privacy: I will not share any personal information about children, including their name, age, address, school details, or any other personal information. Images of children may be included in family photos with explicit consent from their parents or legal guardian.

• Be Thoughtful with Group Photos: I will ensure no identifying details about the family or individual family members are visible unless I have their express permission.

SHARE WITH CARE:

• Keep It Positive: I will focus on strengths and resilience, not hardship or trauma, and I will avoid sensationalized storytelling.

• Think Long-Term: I will consider whether the family would feel safe and proud seeing my post years from now.

RESPECT MEMBER CONFIDENTIALITY: AWE is built on trust, and it’s important that members feel comfortable sharing experiences and insights.

• Protect Community Conversations: I will not share personal stories, photos, or information that members post on AWE outside of this platform, unless I have confirmed that the content has already been made public elsewhere.

MAINTAIN NEUTRALITY: AWE is also a neutral, collaborative space designed to support and empower those welcoming newcomers. To keep it focused, inclusive, and agnostic, we require that members avoid self-promotion, commercial advertisements, political endorsements, or posts that serve the interests of any single organization other than AWE.

• Maintain a Collaborative Space: I will share resources and information that benefit the broader community and will not promote myself or the organization with which I am associated.

• Keep AWE Free of Promotions & Politics: I will not use this space to sell products, promote services, or solicit donations for personal or business gain. While advocacy for refugee and immigrant issues is encouraged, posts must not support or oppose specific politicians and/or political parties.
